All Hallow's Read

Recently, Neil Gaiman posted a blog with his new idea: on Halloween, give scary books to people. He thought there weren't enough holidays where people gave each other books and Halloween seemed like a good time to do so. I completely agree! I love the idea of giving scary books on Halloween. I'm a big fan of giving/getting books as gifts and don't think it happens near enough. Of course, reading about this idea made me wonder what scary book I would give to someone, and then I realized that I had no idea! When I was in middle and high school I read all sorts of scary books. I pretty much read every Fear Street and Christopher Pike novel out there, but I haven't really read any since then (which is terrible). So now I'm on a mission to find some scary books to read. I've picked up Pet Sematary, because I've never read it and according to Stephen King, it's the scariest book he wrote. Hopefully by next Halloween I'll be better prepared with scary books to give. I did give books to my two favorite budding readers, Amber and Gabriel, and they enjoyed them both very much!

Happy Halloween everyone!
